Cauliflower and Apple Baby Food

Age: 6 months + Nutritional Benefits: Very good source of vitamin C, vitamin K and fiber. Ingredients: 1 apple, peeled, cored and sliced 1/2 small head of cauliflower, divided into florets 1/2 - 3/4 cup chicken stock Instructions: Place the apple and cauliflower in a saucepan and pour in the stock and bring to a boil. Simmer until the apple and cauliflower are tender. Drain, reserving the stock. Add the cauliflower and apple to a blender or food processor and puree until smooth, adding the stock until desired baby food consistency is reached.

Applesauce Baby Food

Submitted by: Elizabeth Baldwin "My favorite applesauce recipe is sooo easy, and the whole family likes it so much that I never buy it anymore!" Ingredients: 4 apples, peeled, cored, and roughly chopped dash of cinnamon 3 tablespoons sugar--sometimes I add more or use less depending on how tart or sweet the apples are. 3/4 cup of water  Instructions: Put all in crock pot on low for about 8 hours, until the apples turn to mush and fall apart when stirred. Age: 6 months +Nutritional Benefits: Excellent source of vitamin A and C and potassium. Ingredients: 1/2 mango (peeled) 1/2 ripe banana 1 ripe peach (remove skin and pit) Instructions: Add fruits to a blender and blend until smooth. Add water a little at a time if your baby needs a thinner consistency. Serve as a puree or mix into your baby's cereal or other grain.

Blueberry, Apple & Spinach Baby Food

Age: 6 months + Nutritional Benefits: Very good source of iron, protein, calcium, magnesium and potassium. Ingredients: 1 cup frozen blueberries 2 apples 1/4 cup of water 1 1/2 cups fresh baby spinach Apple juice Instructions: In a medium saucepan, add the blueberries, apples and water. Simmer over medium heat until apples are tender, about 8 to 10 minutes. Turn off heat and add spinach, stirring until the spinach is soft, about 3 minutes. Drain the water then pour the ingredients into a blender or food processor. Puree, adding the apple juice a little at a time, until desired consistency is reached....
