Avocado is one of the best first foods a baby could have, packed with antioxidants and also considered a super food. Avocados make great baby food because they are one of the most nutrient-dense foods, high in fiber and first among all fruits for folate, potassium, vitamin E and magnesium.
Age: 8 months +
Nutritional Benefits: Good source of protein, iron, magnesium, potassium, and vitamins A, B, C, E and K.
- 1 or 2 ripe avocados
- 1 or 2 ripe bananas
- 1or 2 Pears (steamed)
- 4 tablespoons plain or vanilla yogurt
- Peel, core, and slice fruits as needed.
- Place in a blender or food processor and puree until desired consistency is reached.
- Stir in the yogurt and serve or store in a covered container in the refrigerator.
